Pics from Da Job

Told you all I had some fun over the summer.

Hi

Well, Carly and I are awesome bloggers. I was going to decide to do something to this blog and then I thought: "Why" and my other self said "I don't know". So then my third self said: "just put some crap on there and call it good" So my other selfs said "Okay". And that is about the extent of my self conversations for today.

Good things on the horizon: the job I am on is wrapping up swiftly so back to the estimating office I go. Which sucks only because it is in American Fork and I live in SLC.
Also, TCU at Utah, I really think it will be pretty good.

Well if you couldn't tell already, I am blah blah blah and must go. But before I do, remember, if you go to bed with an itchy but, you will wake up with an itchy hand. At least thats what Confucius said.

FUN TIMES AT WORK

This is Brian yo. Thought I would show off a bit. Here are some pics of the equipment I have played on a bit this summer. There are a few other things I want to operate, I just have to trick the field superintendent to look the other way! It's a great stress reliever to get out on site and see how cool some of this stuff is.

It's not every day you make friends with a banana tree

Apollo's birthday is fast approaching! He will be 3 years old next Sunday! We can't believe our little one is growing so fast. We will be having cake, ice cream and games to celebrate on Saturday in St. George. Come join us if you can. Call for specifics, we'd love to have you there.

In other news, we are training to run in the Las Vegas Ragnar Relay with Matt and Candi. Let me just say I hope they are working on their patience! I am not the best runner and its not my favorite sport. But the exercise is great and being so close to a big park gives a place to run.

Brian is working a ton, too much if you ask me. He often works more than 12 hours a day and Saturdays. He enjoys it, but I can tell it is wearing on him too.

I've been taking a class that is a prerequisite for the nursing program at Westminster. It's cultural anthropology and even though it has a lot of reading, it's still interesting.

Other than that we don't have a whole lot going on this summer. We really want to get out and go camping, even if it's just an over night trip.

Look-A-Likes

This is my first post as reining blogger of our three person family. Kind of weird since Carly is supposed to handle these things! So I'm going to try it for a while and if it still sucks as bad as it has been, then we will just have to give up!
A friend from work e-mailed these to me and I laughed... a lot. There was one other that I really wanted to post but it was, well, not G rated if you get me, but it did have me on the brink of wetting my pants.

Who still does not have fond memories of Full House?? I always thought the middle daughter was the cutest. What was her name? Stephanie I think.

I think McCain was doing his victory dance and then found out he lost to Bama.

Here's where Joe learned Bama won!!! Ha ha. I am trying, trying, trying to be funny.

Anyways, to catch up on things... I was lucky to get 23rd row Jazz tickets Monday night, to see them in their last game of the season. They got beat up, but it was so worth it. Has anyone else seen the mini-bear? Hilarious. He didn't even have to do any stunts to make me laugh.
Work is very busy. I saw myself on an organizational chart the other day as a grading engineer. I, of course, thought to myself "that's great" (you know, sounds a bit like grade, the continued effort to be funny). Then I realized its for the night shift, which has some distinct advantages/disadvantages. It's until about 2 or 3 in the morning, obvious disadvantage. The upside is that the upper management guys will all be at home dreaming happy dreams while I learn to drive huge trucks, bulldozers and everything else I can convince the operators to let me drive!
Carly and I have started a steps competition. We are each wearing pedometers and tracking our steps each day and seeing who can average the most over the next while. It's great! Of course, our training for the daybreak triathlon is being added in as well, we have a converter (thanks to the nerdy side of me). I think my average right now is somewhere between 11 and 13 thousand, just ahead of Carly. But today she kicked my but and could easily overtake me with as much as she likes to wander around. I love her! She cracks me up, she's a pacer.
Apollo is awesome, today I watched him write numbers one to 13 all in order. Except 7, I think he hates 7. It's the strangest thing. I wonder what will happen when he gets to 17?
By the way, did you know that it's mathematically proven that Barney is the devil? (It's a bit of a stretch, but look it up!)

A little Video

Having fun with the video editor, more dances will be on their way.
